skrf.network.s2t(s)[source]

Convert scattering parameters [1] to scattering transfer parameters [2].

transfer parameters are also referred to as ‘wave cascading matrix’ [3], this function only operates on 2N-ports networks with same number of input and output ports, also known as ‘balanced networks’.

Parameters:

s (numpy.ndarray (shape fx2nx2n)) – scattering parameter matrix

Returns:

t – scattering transfer parameters (aka wave cascading matrix)

Return type:

npy.ndarray
